The Associate Marketing Manager - Fellowship and Society Engagement will support the primary lead and marketing representative for all neuro fellows programs and society engagements in the United States and Canada.

The Associate Marketing Manager - Fellowship and Society Engagement will have significant interaction with fellows, KOLs, the field-based sales force, medical societies, internal teams and must work collaboratively to assess the effectiveness of programs and resources.

Consistent follow-through is critical to ensure that programs are impactful to physician customers, societies, and the Penumbra neuro sales teams.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support senior managers in development and management of fellows initiatives and society related programs and events.
  • Develops and executes national and local fellows and society programs or initiatives that align to the US and Canada business plan that leads to the achievement of annual revenue plans.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain calendar of approved programs including individual event communications, coordination of program materials, contracts, and managing timelines and due dates for program-related promotional materials.
  • Understands and anticipates customer needs and engages in marketing and sales to maintain understanding of current educational and business needs.
  • Develops knowledge on neuro product lines and works closely with Marketing colleagues, Sales team, as well as other cross-functional partners to support driving product line goals.
  • Build relationships with speakers and key opinion leaders in the market to create a strong network of clinical experts to support our products and events.
  • Represent company at society events to support marketing and events team as assigned.
  • Collects and maintains contacts and supports ongoing database of key contacts from educational programs and society events.
  • Understands and upholds fellows program values and quality through consistent internal and external communications and continued efforts to improve reach, materials, and program development.
  • Supports field proactively with ongoing customer-facing activities and field presence.
  • Support global marketing activities through communication and other support for regional sales and marketing team members.
  • Collect and share intelligence with global marketing team on relevant competitive products, activities and / or programs for relevant fellows / physician customers.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities conform to company guidelines and local laws.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
  • Ensure other members of the department to follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of progressively responsible experience managing various facets of field-based marketing programs in the medical device field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or sales experience.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic customer initiatives and growth plans.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Sales, marketing, and/or medical education experience
  • Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team-based environment.
  • Ability to speak up when vital information or questions must be raised and take action when issues must be addressed.
  • Strong thinker and creative thinker who is intellectually curious. Sound decision making capabilities.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Alameda based with possible general remote work environments in future.
  • Business travel 50% or more (U.S.) with overnight stay at least 50-75% of the time (based on geographic assignment).
  • Ability to travel extensively by car and plane. Must have a valid driver’s license for the state of residency and an active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Wear a lead apron for extended periods of time (2-3hrs on average).
  • Ability to work in Cath Labs or ORs with radiation exposure
  • Ability to conduct company business outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, work-schedule
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
  • Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to move between buildings and floors.
  • Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.
  • Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.

Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels daily.

Annual Base Salary Range: $73,000 to $105,000

We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable.

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
