About Outtake
Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors, and takes down impersonators, automating protection in hours, not weeks.
Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team.
Outtake is backed by top-tier investors and operators who believe in our mission and our model. With strong financial footing and a long runway, we prioritize creating an environment where people can do the best work of their careers.
The Role
This is a product engineering role in the strongest sense of the term. You will work close to customers, shape what gets built, and ship across the entire stack — backend, frontend, and the agent frameworks that sit between them. Titles matter less than ownership here.
We believe customer proximity is a competitive advantage. You will talk directly to customers, join calls, and work inside tight feedback loops. Forward-deployed work is part of the job — not as support, but as the fastest path to product insight.
You will not wait for fully formed specs. If you see a problem worth solving, you are expected to make the case, design the experiment, and build the v0. Good product judgment is valued as highly as clean execution.
This is a role that spans the stack: backend systems processing TBs of internet-scale data, frontend workflows that make complex analysis feel intuitive, and agent frameworks that automate what used to take weeks of manual work. You will work wherever the problem is.
The team operates with clarity and focus. Mondays are for alignment, Fridays for retro. In between, you are trusted to prioritize what matters most, while staying sharp to signal from customers and the market.
What You’ll Do
- Ship products in an environment built for people who've built something from scratch and want to do it again — with better tools, sharper teammates, and real distribution.
- Work close to customers, joining calls and closing tight feedback loops as part of the job, not as an exception to it
- Identify problems worth solving independently, make the case for them, design the experiment, and build the v0 — without waiting for a fully formed spec
- Ship across the stack, wherever the problem lives — backend systems, frontend workflows, or agent frameworks — with ownership mattering more than title
- Help write the roadmap rather than execute against one handed down
- As the team grows, take on broader ownership over the customer relationships and technical direction that come with the role maturing
What We’re Looking For
- A track record of shipping products that users actually used — including at least one that failed, with a clear understanding of why it mattered
- The ability to ramp quickly, operate in ambiguity, and act with a strong bias to action.
- A deep interest in why something is being built, not just how it gets built
- An understanding of what success looks like for both the customer and the business, not just the code
- Experience in forward-deployed or customer-embedded engineering, and genuine energy from that kind of work
- Bonus: experience founding something, even if it didn't work
- Bonus: experience in forward-deployed or customer-embedded roles
- Bonus: experience building with agents, LLMs, or large-scale data systems
