About the Team WhatsApp isn't a messaging app in our biggest markets; it's the internet. People run their businesses and organize their families in it - then have to leave the app for the everyday things that matter most. The new WhatsApp Services Pillar exists to close that gap: what WhatsApp looks like when it goes deeper than messaging, starting with the everyday money-centric services people already turn to us for.

About the Role

This PM and Market Leader of Brazil will oversee the newly announced pillar for WhatsApp, treated as a zero-to-one effort so we can move fast, take risks, and build as we go. Staffed and prioritized like every other WA pillar from day one. Payments on WhatsApp aren't a bet on paper: live in Brazil since 2020 and growing; the existing WA payments team moves across as the pillar's foundation.

As a Product Leader at WhatsApp, you will use your start-up mindset and your full range of product development skills to produce elegantly simple features. You’ll be expected to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a mobile app, while sharing in our healthy obsession for quality and attention to detail.

This is a role for someone who can hold both the ceiling and the floor: set an ambitious long-term vision for what WhatsApp can become in Brazil.

Director, Product Management - WhatsApp Brazil Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and development for one of the highest priority initiatives across WhatsApp and Meta.
• Establish a shared vision across the company (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger) and ensure all teams are clear on the overall strategy, problem to solve, timeline and required contribution.
• Ability to move fast to drive alignment and execution – Turn high volumes of different actions into repeatable processes and playbooks, and get alignment within and across teams through both influence and framing clear escalations when team priorities conflict.
• Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals – Collaborate, navigate and influence product teams across WhatsApp Consumer, Business, Privacy, Growth and MSL and broader Meta organization (Instagram, Facebook).
• Cultivate culture of executional excellence and analytical rigor – Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions to reduce operational overhead, streamline decision-making and accelerate overall execution.
• Manage business reviews (i.e.weekly/monthly business reviews, functional reviews, and other key meetings), staff meetings, and all hands meetings.
• Lead review of dashboards and reports for stakeholder and team members to drive transparency and track improvement.
• Proactively identify issues and needs, escalate as needed, and devise processes to resolve.
• Coordinate working groups for areas of ownership we need to establish but that cut across organizational lines.
• At times you may be specifically tasked to own a workstream, or deep dive into different parts of the organization.
• Lead org-wide projects to create business value, aligning multiple stakeholders across Meta, including various Product teams, Go-to-Market, Finance, Operations, Research, and Family of Apps.

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading PM teams (managing managers)
• Strong technical judgment and ability to partner with ML/ranking teams on signal quality, bidding systems, and delivery optimization
• Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of bets at different maturity stages — from 0-to-1 incubation to billion-dollar scaled products — simultaneously
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership: ability to drive alignment across engineering, DS, design, sales, partnerships, and policy
• Strong analytical rigor and data-driven decision-making, with experience defining and optimizing metrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building 0-1 products, platform/ecosystem products, or marketplaces
• Proficiency in using AI tools as part of day-to-day product development and general productivity workflow
• Experience in a consumer focused technology company, with in-market experience in Brazil
• Experience working in Brazil's payment infrastructure
• Experience building and scaling early-stage growth efforts
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (Statistics, Economics, Math, Business)
