Job description

About this role

🔎 Context:

Delivering exceptional experiences requires exceptional operations. Check-ins and check-outs, team coordination, handling customer requests, task automation, and the reconciliation of more than €150 million in financial flows: behind every experience are critical processes and extensive business expertise. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to transform this complexity into a simple, intelligent, and unique product.

The Ops Squad

Reporting to the CTPO, you will join the Operations Squad , known as the Ops Squad. You will work directly with two developers and will be able to involve a Product Designer as needed. In time, you will also work with a Product Analyst.

You will collaborate daily with the BizOps department to combine operational expertise, data, and execution capabilities. The squad is responsible for the tools and automations, their adoption, and their impact on its KPIs; BizOps provides operational expertise and owns the evolution and adoption of the associated processes.

When a BizOps request competes with the squad’s priorities, the PM makes the trade-off based on the expected impact on the KPIs.

The Product Manager and developers participate as equals in exploring problems and designing solutions. The PM is responsible for prioritisation and outcomes; solution decisions are made collectively.

The Ops Squad is responsible for sustainably improving its business metrics. Examples of KPIs include human time per booking, operational cost per booking, task processing time, and process automation rate.

This product-heavy organisation provides a high level of autonomy, direct access to users, and very short decision-making loops. Limited and easily reversible projects are decided directly by the Ops Squad, within the priorities agreed with the CTPO. Structural projects are presented to the Executive Committee each quarter and require its approval.

You will present priorities, trade-offs, learnings, and the impact achieved.

Why this role matters now

With AI, experimenting and building have become much faster. At Le Collectionist, we therefore believe that our advantage now lies in our ability to select the few problems that truly deserve our investment, to say no to the rest, and to demonstrate the impact achieved.

You will not be joining us to manage an existing roadmap. You will have the opportunity to define what our product should become and build a competitive advantage unique to Le Collectionist.

✨ Responsibilities:

→ What you will be able to transform:

You may work on challenges such as:

  • Making check-in and check-out management more reliable when hundreds of operations must be coordinated simultaneously across multiple destinations
  • Rethinking the processing and reconciliation of more than €150 million in financial flows: incoming and outgoing payments, refunds, commissions, currencies, vouchers, and discrepancy resolution
  • Building an ultra-personalised operational experience in which each team has immediate access to the relevant information, priorities, and recommendations based on its role, destination, and the context of the stay
  • Automating repetitive tasks and reducing manual rework without losing the standard of care that defines Le Collectionist
  • Making operational information immediately accessible and actionable
  • Reducing errors, manual rework, and processing times
  • Developing AI assistants capable of preparing an operation, detecting missing information, and suggesting the next best action
  • Building the tools required to absorb growth without proportionally increasing complexity or costs

These examples do not constitute a predefined roadmap. Your first responsibility will be to identify, together with the Ops Squad and the BizOps department, the problems that truly deserve our investment.

→ What you will be responsible for:

Building the Ops product strategy

  • Identify the few problems with the greatest potential
  • Build an ambitious vision for our internal tools and processes
  • Translate company objectives into measurable product outcomes
  • Prioritise the roadmap and protect the Ops Squad from secondary requests
  • Define the metrics required to demonstrate the impact of each investment

Understanding the reality on the ground

  • Observe teams in their working environment
  • Understand their decisions, constraints, and workarounds
  • Work with BizOps to map and challenge existing processes
  • Distinguish a stated request from the underlying problem to be solved
  • Determine whether the best response lies in the product, the process, the organisation, or automation

Designing and validating solutions

  • Explore several possible responses before committing development resources
  • Use AI and prototyping to bring ideas to life quickly
  • Design solutions collectively with developers and BizOps
  • Test directly with users
  • Measure results after release
  • Adapt, scale, or stop an initiative based on the evidence obtained

→ How you will work:

You use data directly

You explore data without waiting for a dashboard or an analyst to answer each of your

questions. You define baselines, targets, and measurement methods from the beginning of

an initiative.

You build to learn

You know how to produce a prototype or bring an idea to life without immediately requiring a

full development cycle. You look for the fastest and most reliable way to test a hypothesis.

You delegate to AI

You use AI to analyse, synthesise, prototype, prepare tracking plans, and automate

low-value product tasks. You devote your time to judgement, users, decisions, and

outcomes.

→Your first six months:

After one month

  • You have met and observed the main users
  • You have developed your initial assessment of the Ops opportunities
  • You have created and tested a first prototype
  • You have defined the metrics required to measure its effect

After three months

  • The Ops Squad is working on a limited number of clearly prioritised problems
  • Several hypotheses have been tested with users
  • Developers have the context required to make product decisions
  • Your first measurable initiative is in production

After six months

  • You have demonstrated the impact of at least one initiative on an important
  • operational metric and defined a measurable strategy for what comes next
  • BizOps and the Ops Squad share a clear view of the next priorities
  • The tools are beginning to tangibly reduce complexity and manual work

🔎 Ideal Candidate:

  • You have 6 or more years of experience in Product Management, with significant autonomy over a product or scope.
  • You have relevant experience with internal tools, B2B products, business platforms, or complex operations.
  • You are able to build a vision while remaining very close to users and execution, and to focus a small team on the most important problems.
  • You are genuinely autonomous in data analysis and prototyping, and you regularly use artificial intelligence.
  • You have a track record of measurable results beyond simply delivering features.
  • You are able to draw on your previous experience without mechanically applying the same playbooks in a new context.
  • You want to design solutions with developers rather than decide on their behalf.
  • You have high standards for simplicity, quality, and user experience.
  • You know how to say no to ten requests in order to solve the most important problem properly.
  • You enjoy understanding how users really work before imagining a solution.
  • You enjoy designing solutions collectively with developers and operational teams.
  • You are fluent in French, the team’s day-to-day working language.
  • You are fluent in English (essential for communicating with teams across the company, reading documentation, and writing in English).

All our positions are open, on equal terms, to employees with specific needs or disability-related adjustments.

📍 Work location

Your primary base may be our Paris or Marseille office , with the option to work remotely. Ho
