About this role
JOB DUTIES:
Working with various Embedded Software Ecosystem partners to assist their development and porting of Real-Time Operating Systems and Hypervisors to client silicon including both x86 (Ryzen & Epyc) and ARM based ASoC’s (ARM Cortex A78, R52). A successful candidate will be able to build and run client Targeted Reference Designs on both Linux and Bare Metal and then demonstrate those designs to Ecosystem Partners.
This will include running client tools and Vitis AI to build firmware for a TRD, providing the necessary boot artifacts to partners along with example design sources and build scripts for Linux and Bare Metal.
The ability to explain the system complexities of a given TRD to ecosystem partners and answer their porting questions is a must.
Knowledge of client FPGA’s, various IP’s such as the VCU and ISP, low level drivers for graphics (G78) and audio, and some experience with real-time operating systems is required.
Excellent programming skills with demonstrated experience in C/C++; Strong problem solving, and debugging skills with a deep understanding of Operating System principles; Strong technical communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; 5-7 years of demonstrated software engineering experience; Experience in device driver development, or equivalent close to hardware programming (embedded, operating system/kernal, etc); Hypervisor experience is highly desired.
