Staff Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic CPA International Boutique firm. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a book of business and corresponding directly with clients and their US and Foreign Advisors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Duties

• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy in double entry bookkeeping and adherence to accounting standards.
• Review foreign financial statements and translate amount to US dollars.
• Prepare sales tax and payroll tax reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to verify financial data integrity.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and financial statement preparation for our monthly, quarterly, and yearly clients.
• Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high levels of accuracy through data entry and spreadsheet management using Microsoft Office tools like Excel for data analysis.
• Responsible for direct client contact.

Skills

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in public accounting
• Previous experience with Quickbooks is required
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Team player
• Must be bilingual. Preferably English and Spanish or Portuguese.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
