Scope of Project:

The Reporting & BI Analyst will design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that provide County leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable insights. The consultant will work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, develop governed data products, ensure data quality, and support user adoption through documentation and training.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document reporting, dashboard, and KPI requirements from business stakeholders.
• Design and develop data models, calculations, dashboards, and recurring management reports.
• Validate source data, business rules, filters, and report outputs to ensure data accuracy.
• Create executive, operational, workforce, project, and quality reporting solutions.
• Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and maintain report documentation, data definitions, ownership records, and refresh procedures.
• Provide end-user training and support for report interpretation and utilization.
• Monitor report usage, collect user feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure reporting solutions align with organizational objectives.
• Support data governance, accessibility, and reporting best practices.

Required/Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analytics, or related areas.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using multiple data sources.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, reporting, visualization, and quality assurance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, or similar BI platforms.
• Relevant certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Reporting tools.
• Experience working with government agencies or public-sector organizations.
• Knowledge of data governance, accessibility standards, and executive performance reporting.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and KPI management initiatives.
