Tri-State East Tennessee, LLC. is a locally and privately-owned outpatient physical therapy company, based in Knoxville, TN. We have been partnered with Summit Medical Group, the largest primary care group in East TN, since 2011 and represent the clinical staff (PTs/PTAs) for 9 outpatient PT clinics located in the East Tennessee Region.

Our patient population consists of 80-90%+ musculoskeletal conditions.

Physical Therapist (PT)
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent qualifying degree.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice, or eligibility for licensure prior to employment.
- Strong clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions, orthopedic rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently evaluate patients, establish appropriate plans of care, and make sound clinical decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and achieving measurable functional outcomes.
- Ability to manage patient caseload while maintaining high standards of clinical quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities in an outpatient environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), fellow therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations, movement impairments, pain, strength, mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that address patient-specific impairments, functional goals, and expected outcomes.
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities, gait training, and other appropriate treatment techniques.
- Monitor patient progress, reassess functional outcomes, and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated to maximize recovery and functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment expectations, injury prevention, body mechanics, and individualized home exercise programs.
- Establish meaningful, measurable functional goals and actively engage patients in achieving their rehabilitation objectives.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of evaluations, daily treatment encounters, progress reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional, regulatory, and payer requirements.
- Demonstrate clinical decision-making and documentation that support medical necessity, skilled intervention, and the continued need for physical therapy services.
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and promote optimal outcomes.
- Provide appropriate direction, supervision, and collaboration with Physical Therapist Assistants in accordance with applicable state practice acts and professional standards.
- Manage assigned patient schedules and caseloads efficiently while maintaining excellent clinical care, patient engagement, and treatment quality.
- Foster a welcoming, supportive, and professional clinical environment that promotes patient satisfaction, trust, and long-term relationships.
- Promote patient adherence to prescribed treatment plans, scheduled appointments, and home exercise programs to support successful rehabilitation outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
