Legal Counsel, Insured Litigation

to manage and resolve insured claims and related litigation for nationwide medical transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of lawsuits and insured claims from assessment through resolution.
• Coordinate with and direct outside counsel to ensure consistent case management.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy that supports timely, cost-effective outcomes.
• Analyze legal and financial risk, including exposure and regulatory considerations.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements.
• Advise business leaders on legal exposure and compliance with healthcare and insurance regulations.
• Partner with claims, operations, and risk teams to support patient-focused service delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed attorney with strong litigation experience involving insured claims.
• Expertise in legal risk analysis, motion/pleading practice, and settlement negotiation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Working knowledge of healthcare and insurance regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
