Senior Java Software Engineer

Role: Sr. Java Developer Location: Dearborn, MI (Day-1 Onsite) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Developer - Platform/Product with a strong focus on Java 11 to join our dynamic team in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

You will play a key role in designing and implementing platform features that enhance our product offerings and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java 11.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of the platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the development process.
• Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java 11, with a deep understanding of its features and capabilities.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in using version control systems, preferably Git.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Java.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying applications in a production environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
