Travel RN – NICU - San Luis Obispo, CA - $70/hr

Contract Dates: December 6, 2026 – March 6, 2027

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to newborns requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. This assignment is ideal for a nurse with strong neonatal assessment skills and experience caring for critically ill or premature infants.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor neonatal patients.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Monitor changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Educate and support families.
• Collaborate with physicians and the neonatal care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

• Active RN license valid for California practice.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; BSN preferred.
• At least 2 years of NICU experience.
• Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• RNC or CCRN certification preferred.
• Neonatal transport and delivery-room resuscitation experience preferred.
