Product Manager – Commercial Insurance

Location: Summit, NJ – Hybrid (1 day onsite/week)

Role:

Seeking an experienced

Product Manager with strong insurance domain expertise

to own product vision, roadmap, backlog, and Agile delivery. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering, QA, UX, data teams, and vendors to translate complex insurance processes into actionable requirements and deliver digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Translate insurance workflows into

epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows

.

• Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk, dependencies, and capacity.
• Lead discovery sessions, requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder discussions.
• Partner with engineering and QA throughout Agile delivery, including sprint planning, reviews, UAT, and releases.
• Manage stakeholder communication, product decisions, risks, dependencies, and change adoption.
• Support data mapping, APIs, integrations, data validation, exception handling, and business rules.
• Use AI tools to improve product discovery, requirements, backlog management, and decision-making.

Required:

• 7+ years as a

Product Owner/Product Manager/Business Product

Lead

.

• Strong

insurance domain experience

with knowledge of policies, endorsements, renewals, claims, underwriting, premiums, billing, client servicing, and financial transactions.

• Strong Agile/Scrum and backlog management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder, communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
• Experience with

Jira/Azure DevOps

, SQL/data validation, APIs, and process mapping.

Preferred

Insurance brokerage/commercial insurance , Salesforce, Sagitta, CRM, policy administration, billing, document management, or finance platforms experience.
