About this role
At St. Luke’s, our patients come from all walks of life and so do we! We foster an environment that embraces our employees' unique strengths, experiences and perspectives which drive our exceptional patient-centered care.
We strive to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture to deliver exceptional patient experiences and create a strong work environment.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team on 4S at our Boise Medical Center. Four South Oncology is a 24-bed medical/surgical oncology unit caring for patients across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care. We are home to Idaho’s only autologous and allogeneic blood and bone marrow transplant (BMT) program and, since 2022, CAR-T cell therapy.
Our culture is built around supporting one another, learning together, and advocating for our patients, no matter your role. New RNs have extensive oncology-specific opportunities to grow, including cancer basics, chemotherapy administration, BMT and CAR-T cell therapy, supportive care, adolescent oncology, and outpatient infusion.
Our patients are high acuity, with typical RN-to-patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4, providing nurses the opportunity to develop strong oncology skills while caring for complex patients and families. At Four South, we often say it takes a village, and that is truly how our team works. We support one another, learn together, and step in wherever we are needed.
Our strong sense of community and teamwork is at the heart of our unit, and every role matters in caring for and advocating for our patients and families. *SIGN ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE FULL-TIME & PART-TIME NEW HIRES*
