Advanced Practice Provider - APP - Critical Care Nights

SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting for an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team of Critical Care Intensivists. The practice is conveniently based on the campus of SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of current Critical Care practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• NPs should be APRNs with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Certified PA.
• 3-5 years of prior critical care nursing practice experience with CCRN certification required for NP applicants.
• Ability to obtain NP or PA licensure in Wisconsin.

The Opportunity

Shifts are 6 PM- 6 AM, with 2-5 shifts on consecutive days. Overnight telehealth coverage for other SSM Health Wisconsin hospitals. Clinical responsibilities will include admission, treatment, and cross-coverage duties.

Perform central line placement (venous and arterial), ETT intubation, and chest tube placement. Close collaboration with ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and intensivists. Training in procedures as well as building advanced critical care knowledge and skills.

The hospital has a 12-bed closed Medical Intensive Care Unit, a 15-bed open Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit. At SSM Health St. Marys Hospital - Madison, our goal is to serve the community and play an active role in it.
