About this role
Full-Time | Long-Term Growth Position
We are looking for a talented, curious Graphic Designer who wants to build a career at the intersection of design, artificial intelligence, automation, and entrepreneurship.
You do not need to already be an AI expert.
You do need to be someone who sees a new piece of technology and wants to figure out what it can do.
This position is ideal for a designer who has a strong foundation in Adobe Creative Cloud, is comfortable learning new software, and is excited about how AI is changing the way creative work is designed, produced, organized, marketed, and delivered.
We are open to someone earlier in their career.
What matters most is your combination of design ability, curiosity, intelligence, reliability, initiative, and willingness to grow.
The Opportunity
You will work directly with an experienced entrepreneur and designer who has spent approximately 20 years building businesses, serving clients, solving creative problems, and working across graphic design, publishing, presentations, marketing, branding, websites, and digital products.
The next stage is about building on that experience using a new generation of tools:
- Artificial intelligence
- AI agents
- Creative automation
- Workflow automation
- Generative design tools
- New software and platforms
- AI-assisted business systems
We are not looking for someone simply to execute a list of design assignments.
We want someone who can gradually help us ask
How can we do this better?
What can we automate?
What can AI help us create?
What new service or product could we build from this?
How can we create a system once instead of doing the same thing manually 100 times?
You will have room to experiment, learn, build, and eventually take ownership of increasingly important parts of the business.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will initially center around graphic design and creative production while expanding into AI, automation, and systems development as your skills grow.
Projects may include:
- Graphic design and production
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat
- Presentation and pitch deck design
- Books, publications, reports, and document design
- Branding and marketing materials
- Digital and web graphics
- Image editing and illustration
- Preparing professional production files
- Organizing and improving existing creative assets
- Using generative AI as part of the design process
- Testing new AI and creative platforms
- Developing AI-assisted creative workflows
- Building repeatable processes and automations
- Experimenting with AI agents
- Connecting tools and systems to reduce repetitive work
- Researching emerging technology
- Helping develop new products, services, and business ideas
The exact position will evolve based on your abilities and interests.
What We're Looking For
Important
- Strong graphic design fundamentals
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or InDesign
- Good typography, layout, composition, and visual judgment
- Ability to follow an established design direction
- Ability to organize files and work professionally
- Comfortable learning unfamiliar software
- Good problem-solving ability
- Dependable and able to follow through
- Strong attention to detail
We'd Love to See
Experience with any of the following is helpful, but you do not need to know all of them:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Acrobat
- PowerPoint
- Figma
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Gemini
- Adobe Firefly
- Generative image tools
- AI-assisted coding tools
- Zapier
- Make
- n8n
- No-code or low-code platforms
- APIs and software integrations
- AI agents or agentic workflows
Knowing every tool on this list is not the expectation.
Being excited to learn them is.
The Person We're Looking For
The right person is probably someone who:
- Is naturally curious
- Learns quickly
- Enjoys experimenting
- Likes both creativity and technology
- Takes pride in making things look right
- Notices details others miss
- Can receive feedback without taking it personally
- Is comfortable asking questions when necessary
- Can eventually solve problems without being told every step
- Is interested in how businesses actually work
- Likes finding more efficient ways to accomplish things
- Gets excited when new technology creates a new possibility
You may be a recent graduate.
You may have a few years of professional experience.
You may be self-taught with an excellent portfolio.
We care more about ability, potential, attitude, and trajectory than checking every traditional box.
What This Position Can Become
This is intended to be a long-term position.
Initially, you will spend more of your time working directly on design and production.
As you develop, that balance can change.
You may increasingly become responsible for:
- AI workflows
- Automation
- Creative systems
- Process improvement
- Technology implementation
- Internal tools
- Product development
- Managing creative assets and knowledge
- Developing new business capabilities
- Eventually helping train or manage other team members
Our goal is not to hire someone to remain in the same position indefinitely.
We want someone whose responsibility, capability, compensation, and ownership can grow with the value they create.
Direct Access and Mentorship
One of the biggest differences between this position and a traditional junior design role is access.
You will work directly alongside an entrepreneur with approximately two decades of experience in design, client services, business development, creative production, and entrepreneurship.
You won't be buried several levels below the people making decisions.
You'll see how projects are priced, built, presented, improved, sold, automated, and turned into larger opportunities.
For the right person, this can be an opportunity to learn considerably more than graphic design.
Compensation and Growth
Compensation will be based on your current experience and capabilities.
We also believe that increased contribution should lead to increased opportunity.
The position will include regular performance and compensation reviews as responsibilities grow.
For an exceptional long-term team member, there is also the potential to earn equity in the business based on meaningful contribution, performance, commitment, and mutually agreed-upon milestones.
Any equity arrangement would be separately documented and formally structured.
We want someone who has an opportunity not simply to work for the business, but eventually to have a meaningful stake in what they help build.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, we would like to see you progress from:
Designer who knows how to use AI tools
to
Designer who understands how AI changes the way creative work gets done.
And ultimately toward
A creative technologist who can design, automate, improve systems, solve problems, and help build new opportunities.
To Apply
Please include:
- Your resume
- A portfolio or examples of your design work
- The Adobe applications you currently use
- Any AI tools you currently use
- Any automation or no-code tools you have experimented with
And answer these three questions:
1. What is one new AI or technology tool you've discovered recently that genuinely impressed you, and why?
2. Tell us about something you taught yourself because you wanted to know how it worked.
3. If you were given a repetitive task that normally took four hours every week, what would your instinct be: get faster at doing it, delegate it, automate it, redesign the process—or something else? Explain your thinking.
We are looking for someone who wants more than their next design job.
We are looking for someone who wants to become unusually capable.
