Why Therapists Thrive at Sprouts Therapy

At Sprouts Therapy, we prioritize your time treating children, not managing paperwork. Our robust administrative team handles scheduling, billing, client intake, and cleanup, with support from two full-time Schedule Coordinators, a Billing Specialist, a New Client Coordinator, a Grounds Manager with assistants, and therapy student volunteers.

Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Full-Time Schedule Coordinators who pre-builds the caseload for new hires, fills cancellations when able, communicates directly with clients about all schedule needs, manages therapists' schedule requests, and contacts families when a therapist is out
  • Full-Time Insurance Billing Specialist who provides guidance on insurance billing and coding, and submits all authorizations and claims
  • New Client Coordinator who sends families initial intake paperwork and completes setup of services
  • Grounds Manager and Assistants handling cleaning and maintenance, including setup and cleanup of feeding sessions
  • Therapy Student Volunteers trained in disinfecting and clean-up procedures, available to lend an extra hand

Documentation Support

We use Prompt, an electronic medical record built for therapy practices, with AI-assisted documentation tools designed specifically for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. These tools help draft and organize notes so documentation can be completed during the workday instead of at night.

The treating therapist always reviews, edits, and approves the final note. Nothing is submitted without clinician review, and the tools do not replace clinical judgment.

Clinic Space/Equipment

  • Specialized Treatment Rooms- individual treatment rooms for varied client needs
  • Outdoor Therapy Space: AstroTurf surface, shaded swings, playground with climbing structures and slides, bikes with pathways, and outdoor games to enhance motor skills, strength, and coordination
  • On-Site Kitchen- stainless steel counters and professional-grade appliances for feeding therapy
  • Fully Stocked with Therapeutic Tools- Extensive variety of equipment/supplies with dedicated craft closet, slime cabinet, various swings, gross motor equipment, game closet
  • Comprehensive Assessment Tools- Extensive variety of assessments
  • Therapist Resource Budget- Annual budget to purchase additional therapist-requested materials

Unique Therapy Locations

  • Pool Setting (Kahala and Hawaii Kai): Our pools provide an ideal aquatic therapy environment, leveraging buoyancy, viscosity, hydrostatic pressure, and water to enhance strength, balance, sensory comfort, circulation, and motivation in a fun setting.
  • Home Health: Sprouts offers home health sessions within a specific territory, allowing therapists to work in a child’s natural environment, observe authentic behaviors, and create customized programs using household items for seamless learning and adaptation.

Therapy Team

  • Integrated Multidisciplinary Team- Multidisciplinary team with co-treatments promoting collaboration
  • Weekly Clinical Meetings- whole-team and individual-discipline meetings for case discussions and continuing education
  • Dedicated Lead- providing one-on-one mentorship/individual training, documentation support, progress/re-evaluation report tracking, and scheduling for team
  • In-Session Mentorship with Clinic Owner- one-to-one mentorship through treatment demonstrations with the clinic owner, as requested
  • Team Approach- The PT team often shares clients who come multiple times a week to allow for treatment collaboration and shared responsibility.

Scheduling Perks

  • Flexible Scheduling Options - Part-time therapists can build their caseload around their availability. Full-time staff have multiple options for their work days, offering both structure and flexibility.
  • Observation time- tailored to your comfort level and experience, ensuring a supported transition into your caseload
  • Structured Evaluation Training- the opportunity to observe and assist in client evaluations prior to leading evaluations.
