Duties
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptual design through manufacturing and testing, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Perform root cause analysis on technical issues during product development or manufacturing to identify solutions swiftly.
- Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools for 3D modeling, mechanical drafting, and creating detailed mechanical drawings.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings in compliance with ASME codes & standards to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and suppliers to optimize design engineering processes.
- Apply engineering principles such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and schematic creation for machine design.
- Use building information modeling (BIM) tools or schematics to develop comprehensive mechanical systems and assemblies.
- Engage in mechanical product development projects involving mechanical knowledge, machine design, and mechanical detail drawings to innovate new solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Simulink for troubleshooting complex technical challenges in product performance or manufacturing issues.

Experience
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development.
- Strong background in project management including project scheduling, risk assessment, and resource planning.
- Extensive hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo for 3D modeling and mechanical drafting.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tolerance analysis, schematic creation, and mechanical detail drawings adhering to ASME standards.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), quantum engineering concepts is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience working on mechanical design projects involving FEA simulations or building information modeling (BIM) tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate effectively across engineering teams, manufacturing units, and suppliers.
