Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop precise mechanical and system designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Duties
- Create accurate 2D CAD drawings and schematics for mechanical systems and building information modeling (BIM) using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and NavisWorks
- Develop detailed 3D models for product design, system layout, and assembly using SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings adhering to ASME codes & standards and GD&T principles
- Prepare CAD documentation including assembly instructions, technical reports, and technical writing for manufacturing or construction purposes
- Conduct design reviews, modifications, and updates based on project requirements or client feedback
- Support construction teams with CAD drawings for installation, piping schematics, P&IDs, and system design layouts
- Utilize PDM (Product Data Management) software to organize and manage CAD files efficiently while maintaining version control
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical drafting with a strong portfolio of 2D CAD drafting and 3D modeling projects
- Sheet Metal experience is highly desired.
- Proficiency in multiple CAD software platforms including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, system design processes, and mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications accurately
- Strong communication skills for technical writing and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), 3D CAD modeling for product testing or simulation is a plus
- Prior construction or industrial project experience is advantageous
