Job Description

As an Electrical Test Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work various launch vehicle and space-based application programs, solving our customer’s most difficult technical challenges. The Test Engineer will design, develop, integrate, test, deliver, and support automated test sets used for testing deliverable electronic hardware.

A final test set includes test software, hardware, rack with equipment, test cables, and all associated drawings.

Essential Functions

  • As part of a team, design the electronic test interfaces and select the necessary equipment to perform the testing of deliverable electronic hardware.
  • Develop test software to interface with the test equipment and automate the testing of the unit under test.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties
  • Work directly with engineers optimizing test processes and procedures
  • Perform the test set verification and validation to ensure the test set functions as intended and meets the defined requirements.
  • Present and participate within engineering review boards to improve overall quality and eliminate design defects early in the development lifecycle.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of technical reviews and program status.

Qualifications

  • Requires B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 0-2 years experience. Related engineering field considered with applicable electronic experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Strong technical, analytical and critical thinking / reasoning skills.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Prior experience with electronic design, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Prior software development experience
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, to other engineers, technicians, and customers.
