Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, RESTful APIs, relational databases, asynchronous programming, and distributed systems.

The candidate should be proactive, self-driven, and capable of independently troubleshooting issues, taking ownership of deliverables, and contributing to technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Build scalable backend services using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and performance for PostgreSQL.
• Implement API integrations, authentication, error handling, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Develop asynchronous processes, background jobs, and distributed services.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-based deployments.
• Investigate technical issues and implement reliable, secure solutions.
• Explore AI integrations, MCP, and AI-driven workflow automation where applicable.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Python backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, and asynchronous programming.
• Hands-on experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL queries, database design, and optimization.
• Experience with API integrations, authentication, logging, and error handling.
• Understanding of asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Experience with Pytest or unittest for unit and integration testing.
• Proficiency in Git, pull requests, and code review workflows.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, or Celery.
• WebSockets, Socket.IO, or real-time communication technologies.
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
• OAuth 2.0, JWT, microservices architecture, and secure API development.
• AI integrations, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI-driven workflow automation.
