Senior Systems Engineer

specializing in enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization, and storage solutions.

Our client has been serving enterprise customers for over four decades and has built a reputation for long-standing customer relationships, technical expertise, and employee retention.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure engineer who enjoys designing, building, and implementing enterprise technology solutions rather than focusing exclusively on day-to-day administration and support.

You'll work with an experienced technical team on a variety of customer infrastructure projects, with significant ownership over solution design, implementation, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, configure, and implement enterprise server and storage infrastructure for customer environments.
• Deploy, configure, and support HP/HPE enterprise servers, including ProLiant, BladeSystem, and comparable blade server technologies.
• Design and implement enterprise storage solutions, including SAN environments, HPE MSA, Alletra, Nimble, or similar platforms.
• Manage VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual infrastructure configurations.
• Install, configure, and integrate physical server and storage hardware within enterprise data centers and colocation facilities.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, hardware replacements, and system integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, including hardware break/fix, storage, virtualization, and server-related problems.
• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, recommend solutions, and provide implementation updates.
• Collaborate with other engineers to support customer environments and deliver infrastructure projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing infrastructure reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, enterprise infrastructure, server engineering, or data center environments.
• Strong experience with enterprise server hardware, including HP/HPE ProLiant, BladeSystem, Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, or comparable technologies.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting physical server infrastructure.
• Hands-on knowledge of enterprise storage, SAN environments, and storage provisioning.
• Strong VMware virtualization experience, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience working in data centers or colocation facilities with physical server installations, hardware integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of server architecture, infrastructure sizing, hardware configurations, and deployment best practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and independently resolve technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
• Ability to work onsite in Anaheim, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with HPE ProLiant, BladeSystem, Synergy, OneView, MSA, Alletra, or Nimble Storage.
• HPE certifications, including HPE ATP, ASE, or Master ASE.
• Experience implementing or supporting Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Prior experience working for an MSP, VAR, technology reseller, or professional services organization.
• Experience designing and deploying infrastructure solutions for multiple customer environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco UCS, Dell enterprise servers, and other enterprise hardware platforms.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $100,000–$130,000, with flexibility based on qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, onsite in Anaheim. Occasional scheduled after-hours maintenance may be required, with infrequent emergency support needs.
