Associate General Counsel - Healthcare

Robert Half, on behalf of a national company, is seeking an Associate General Counsel focused on healthcare and telemedicine for its in-house legal team in Miami. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be the lead advisor on provider relationships, prescribing, and healthcare regulation at a fast-growing healthcare technology company.

Requirements

Lead legal work on relationships with medical groups, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other prescribers Structure provider arrangements in compliance with corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) rules Apply telehealth, remote and controlled substance prescribing, licensing, and scope of practice rules across all 50 states Guide provider onboarding, credentialing, and prescribing authority Monitor DEA, FDA, and state medical and pharmacy board developments, and manage regulatory inquiries and audits Oversee patient privacy and data security compliance Manage outside counsel and mentor members of the legal team Qualifications JD from an ABA accredited law school and active bar membership 5+ years of healthcare regulatory experience with telemedicine companies, medical groups, physician practices, pharmacies, or pharmaceutical companies Proven experience advising physicians, nurse practitioners, and other prescribers In depth knowledge of CPOM, state medical board rules, provider licensing, and multistate telehealth and prescribing requirements Experience negotiating agreements with providers, pharmacies, and healthcare partners Strong grasp of federal and state healthcare, pharmacy, FDA, DEA, and privacy requirements Ability to build compliance programs and translate complex regulations into practical business guidance in a fast-paced environment Please apply in confidence to [email protected].
