About this role
About REP REP designs world-class, innovative gym equipment that is sold around the world, and we are now expanding into apparel, supplements, athletes, and events. REP was established in 2012 by two brothers who shared a deep passion for fitness.
From our humble beginnings of selling bumper plates out of a small garage, REP has experienced remarkable growth, now occupying over 300,000+ square feet of office and distribution space in the USA and internationally. With a dedicated team of over 200+ fitness enthusiasts, our vision is to be the #1 Strength Brand in the World. Our commitment to innovation, customer service, and value sets us apart.
We believe in building a culture centered around fitness, so we specialize in outfitting home gyms, commercial gyms, and strength and conditioning facilities. Our dedication to excellence has been recognized multiple times when we were featured in the Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies in 2018 and 2021 and then voted the best home strength product launch in 2022 by Garage Gym Experiment.
Our team works out together, and we regularly invite fitness superstars to join us. We organize fun challenges to test our limits - and the limits of our equipment. At REP, we continue to grow and bring new opportunities for those who want to be a part of a winning team.
We firmly believe that being surrounded by like-minded individuals fuels creative energy and fosters a fun and collaborative work environment. This role is based in our state-of-the-art headquarters with a bright, spacious, shared workspace; scenic views of the Rocky Mountains; and a kitchen always stocked with healthy snacks, protein powder, and coffee.
We offer a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three days in the office, but there’s flexibility about which days and hours.
Our Core Values Think Like a Customer - We empathize with our customers; understand the 'why' behind every decision we make Progress not Perfection - We don't let perfect get in the way of good; we are better today than we were yesterday Positive Attitude - Be a glass half-full kind of person and remember to have fun Teamwork without Ego - We put the team above ourselves; we only win together Take Initiative - We drive momentum; if there is an opportunity to make us better, we want to hear it About This Role REP grew up as a direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand, and our systems grew up around the web store.
That is changing. We are becoming an omnichannel brand: retail showrooms, commercial and dealer customers, marketplaces, and growing operations in the UK and Europe, all selling from the same inventory and serving the same customers. The Enterprise Solutions Architect leads the shift in our systems architecture that this requires.
You will define how REP's systems give every channel one picture of inventory, orders, products and customers: which system owns each capability, where each type of data is mastered, and how systems connect. That work runs through the programs now in front of us, including a new order management system and product information management, and you will hold implementation partners to those decisions.
You will work closely with the Engineering Manager - Shopify, whose team builds and runs our commerce platform, so that the commerce platform and the systems behind it (NetSuite, warehouse and transportation management, and their integrations) evolve as one architecture rather than two.
You will also be the senior systems partner to channel, operations and finance leaders, turning the problems they describe into designs and options with clear costs and trade-offs. This is a senior individual contributor role. It does not carry day-to-day support or a ticket queue, and it does not manage people.
It has a dotted-line relationship with the Director of Data & AI, so that how REP's operational systems master and move data supports the company's analytics and AI work. You will work alongside the NetSuite Platform Architect, who owns how decisions are realized inside NetSuite, and the IT Project Manager, who runs delivery of significant implementations. Essential Functions Include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Omnichannel target architecture
Define and maintain the target architecture that moves REP from storefront-centered ecommerce systems to an omnichannel model, with one view of inventory, orders, products and customers across web, retail, commercial and dealer, marketplace and international channels. Decide which system owns each capability and where each type of data is mastered.
Partnership with Web Development
Work closely with the Engineering Manager - Shopify so the commerce platform and the operate-side systems are designed as one architecture. Jointly own the seam between them, including order flow, inventory availability, and product and customer data reaching every channel, through shared design reviews and a joint architecture roadmap.
Business partnership
Serve as the senior systems partner to channel, operations and finance leaders. Lead discovery, separate the problem from the requested solution, and translate business needs into target-state and functional designs with options, costs and trade-offs.
Program design authority
Set architecture and acceptance criteria, including cross-channel scenarios such as store pickup, ship-from-store and cross-channel returns, for partner-delivered programs such as order management and product information management. Review partner design deliverables against them and accept or return designs before build begins.
Integration and data standards
Define integration patterns and data mastering rules, including standards for single-system add-ons, in alignment with the Director of Data & AI so that operational data serves analytics and AI use cases. Maintain a register of systems and integrations so that each new channel uses shared foundations rather than its own plumbing.
Solution evaluation
Lead the technical fit assessment when REP evaluates new systems or vendors, working with the IT Manager on security review and the Director of Global IT on commercial terms.
Roadmap and decision records
Provide the architecture view for the IT systems roadmap, review platform roadmaps (including NetSuite and the commerce platform) each quarter for consistency with the target state, and document architecture decisions and their reasoning.
Travel
Up to 15%: retail locations, US distribution centers and partner workshops, with occasional travel to UK and European operations.
