Their experienced network engineers and technicians take a proactive, client-focused approach, emphasizing education, reliability, and strong customer service. Role Description The System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
This team member will design, implement, and maintain client IT systems, including servers, networks, workstations, and cloud solutions, ensuring stability, performance, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system health, performing updates and patches, managing backups and recovery processes, and supporting cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
The System Engineer will provide hands-on technical support, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, and collaborate with clients to optimize their infrastructure for business needs. The role involves documenting configurations, participating in network audits, and working closely with other engineers and technicians to deliver proactive, high-quality managed IT services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills for planning, implementing, and optimizing IT infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess solid System Administration skills, including managing servers, networks, user accounts, and security settings.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues and resolve incidents promptly.
- Experience with Managed IT Services, including networks, backup and recovery, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions, is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) and experience with Office 365 and VOIP systems are preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and participate in occasional after-hours support or on-call rotations as needed.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
