Senior Technical Project Manager – Mainframe Modernization, Data Migration & Snowflake

Location: 100% Remote within the United States

Experience Required: 14+ Years

PRISM TECH SYSTEMS is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead enterprise technology initiatives involving mainframe modernization, legacy-to-cloud migration, Snowflake data migration, and application integration.Please apply only if you meet the mandatory experience requirements below. Mandatory Requirements

  • 14+ years of overall professional experience.
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience delivering cloud-based enterprise initiatives. Microsoft Azure experience is preferred.
  • 6+ years managing mainframe/legacy modernization and migration to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or cloud technologies.
  • 6+ years managing SDLC projects using Agile/Scrum.
  • 6+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and associated delivery workflows.
  • 6+ years managing or coordinating projects involving .NET Core, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Proven experience managing Snowflake data migration, including source-to-target mapping, ETL/ELT, data reconciliation, UAT, and production cutover.
  • Ability to interpret data-flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, API specifications, and SQL-based validation results.
  • Experience coordinating .NET-to-Snowflake integrations using MuleSoft or Informatica APIs and integration services.
  • 6+ years of cross-functional team leadership, resource planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • 6+ years creating project plans, dashboards, Gantt charts, and executive status reports, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Authorization to work in the United States and ability to meet verified project eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mainframe transformation, data migration, Snowflake, and Azure initiatives from planning through production deployment.
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, and change approvals across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate data discovery, mapping, ETL/ELT, ingestion, schema changes, failed-load recovery, reconciliation, and migration cutover.
  • Ensure business calculations, transformation logic, data completeness, and accuracy meet approved acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate UAT, defect resolution, reconciliation tolerances, and documented business-owner sign-off before release.
  • Manage application and API integration across .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and MuleSoft or Informatica.
  • Use Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, Scrum ceremonies, defects, capacity planning, and delivery reporting.
  • Coordinate CI/CD releases, environment readiness, rollback plans, production-readiness reviews, monitoring, and support handover.
  • Oversee delivery by teams using GitHub Copilot or Kiro, ensuring human review, testing, validation, and documentation.
  • Communicate delivery risks promptly and maintain accurate executive reporting, decision logs, and project documentation.

Preferred Industry ExperienceCandidates with experience working with State Government agencies or clients in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities will receive higher priority.
