Position Summary
We are seeking a Controls Engineer/Designer with strong experience in industrial automation, PLC and DCS programming, control panel design, and system integration. This position is responsible for developing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning control systems for industrial facilities while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS control systems.
- A plus if you can create electrical and instrumentation drawings including control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and network architectures.
- A plus if you can build control panels in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk View, and associated software.
- Program other PLC's and/or DC's including ABB, Emerson DeltaV, Siemens, and other major automation systems.
- Develop and maintain SCADA and visualization platforms such as Ignition.
- Perform system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), startup, and commissioning activities.
- Interface with clients, operations personnel, engineers, and contractors to develop control system requirements and solutions.
- Troubleshoot automation, instrumentation, networking, and process control issues in industrial environments.
- Prepare technical documentation, operating manuals, and as-built drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of industrial controls and automation experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk products.
- Experience with one or more additional automation platforms including ABB, DeltaV, Siemens, Ignition, Schneider, or similar systems.
- Experience designing and building industrial control panels.
- Knowledge of industrial communications protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA, and TCP/IP.
- Ability to read and develop electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project execution skills.
- Experience writing controls narratives a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
