Responsibilities

The CAD Designer is a vital role at Pinnacle 33. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional quality and service, so we are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail and design specifics. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of fonts, aesthetics and sign design with strong ability to create production drawings.

CAD Designers prepare sign designs and production drawings from information provided by our sales team, project managers, production personnel and clients. That information may come from client supplied ideas, a sign program, or the designer may be requested to provide an original design that aesthetically meets the client’s needs.

Our company requires effective use of typography, graphics, color and space that is balance and visually pleasing. The complexity of the designs varies which will require flexibility in adapting to each individual project. Responsibilities may include:

• Product research to translate requirements into detailed designs for production
• Bringing Architectural Design packages to 100% design intent
• Creating drawings that accurately reflect the client’s branding.
• Designing to scale for shop fabrication.
• Collaborating with all departments to ensure accuracy of designs
• Maintaining storage and filing of records for assigned projects
• Actively participate in training classes to continuously improve skills and techniques

Applicants should have minimum 3 years’ experience in signage industry with high school diploma / GED. Other desired qualifications are as follows:

• Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position
• Ability to read construction plans, including elevations, section views, and site plans
• Intermediate proficiency in CorelDRAW, Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Basic understanding of signage fabrication techniques and materials
• Familiarity with ADA Signage regulations
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
