Position Summary

Seeking an experienced

UX/Human-Centered Design

Lead

to support the Virginia CCWIS implementation. The candidate will lead user research, stakeholder engagement, usability testing, and design activities to ensure a user-friendly experience for child welfare staff and providers.

Required Experience

• 8+ years in UX, Human-Centered Design, or User Experience leadership.
• Experience supporting

CCWIS/SACWIS

, Child Welfare, HHS, Healthcare, or Human Services systems.

• Experience with statewide government technology implementations.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong expertise in user research, usability testing, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX and Human-Centered Design activities.
• Conduct user interviews, workshops, and usability testing.
• Translate user feedback into actionable design recommendations.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders.
• Improve worker- and provider-facing system experiences.

Mandatory Requirements

• Demonstrated

CCWIS/SACWIS

, Child Welfare, HHS, Healthcare, or Human Services systems.

• Must be U.S.-based and available for hybrid work and onsite meetings in Virginia, including

Glen Allen, VA

• Must pass required background checks and VDSS/VITA vetting.
