As our IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) Solutions Architect, you will orchestrate the full IBM ELM suite to connect requirements, systems, software, hardware, and manufacturing into a single, traceable flow. Your work turns scattered lifecycle data into a cohesive Digital Thread that accelerates safety‑critical aerospace development.

Day in the life

You’ll guide teams on best practices, configure and administer environments, and design robust integrations that bridge ELM with PLM and enterprise systems. From enabling end‑to‑end traceability to automating workflows and reports, you ensure our engineering toolchain is reliable, compliant, and deeply connected.

What you’ll work on

• Lead architecture and administration of the IBM ELM suite: DOORS Next, Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Engineering Test Management (ETM), Rhapsody, Global Configuration Management (GCM), and Jazz Team Server (JTS).
• Design, implement, and sustain integrations between ELM and Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE, as well as ERP, CAD, and MES systems.
• Advance Digital Thread initiatives to deliver seamless data continuity and a single source of truth across the product lifecycle.
• Support compliance with ARP4754A/B, DO‑178C, and DO‑254 through structured practices and traceability.
• Build automations, reports, and workflows using OSLC, REST APIs, Python, and JavaScript.

Your background

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM ELM/Jazz technologies.
• Depth in DOORS Next, EWM, ETM, and related systems engineering tools.
• Proven track record integrating ELM with PLM platforms such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Foundation in MBSE, Requirements‑Based Engineering (RBE), and Digital Thread practices.
• Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
