About this role
Position Summary
The AI Engineer, Global Quality, supports the development, implementation, and governance of AI solutions across the Global Quality organization. This role identifies opportunities to leverage AI to enhance quality processes, operational efficiency, compliance, decision-making, and employee productivity.
Partnering with Quality, Operations, IT, Digital, and business teams, the AI Engineer designs and deploys AI-enabled solutions, including conversational AI, chatbots, and workflow automation tools. The role also represents Global Quality on AI and data governance committees, helping shape AI strategy, governance, risk management, validation, and adoption.
Success in this position requires a strong understanding of AI, business processes, data analysis, and change management, with the ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Business Enablement
- Act as AI champion for Global Quality team by identifying and evaluating opportunities to leverage AI within Global Quality processes and systems.
- Partner with Quality leaders and subject matter experts to define AI use cases that drive business value.
- Create a Global Quality AI roadmap in alignment with global quality strategy.
- Monitor emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for Quality operations.
AI Solution Development
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions, including:
+ Chatbots and virtual assistants
+ Knowledge management tools
+ Document search and retrieval solutions
+ Workflow automation applications
+ Predictive analytics and reporting tools
- Collaborate with IT and Digital teams and data analysts to integrate AI solutions with existing systems and processes.
AI and Data Governance Steering Committee Participation
- Serve as the Global Quality representative on the Company's AI Steering Committee.
- Contribute to AI governance, standards, best practices, and strategic initiatives.
- Communicate Global Quality requirements and priorities to cross-functional AI stakeholders.
- Support enterprise-wide AI adoption and capability-building efforts.
- Promote responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
- Assist in preparing and organizing data for AI applications.
Training & Change Management
- Educate Quality teams on AI capabilities and appropriate use cases.
- Develop training materials, user guides, and best practices.
- Support change management initiatives to drive AI adoption and user engagement.
- Act as an AI champion within the Global Quality organization.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in Quality, Data Analytics, Business Systems, Process Improvement, Digital Transformation, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting business technology solutions and process improvement initiatives
- Experience working in medical device industry
- Foundational AI Knowledge - Strong understanding of basic AI concepts, such as: Machine Learning concepts and applications, GenAI, AI ethics and responsible principles, and Data Quality.
- Experience using AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Power Platform AI Builder, or similar tools.
- Ability to create and manage AI agents, bots, copilots, or automation workflows.
- Understanding of data analysis and visualization tools.
- Ability to evaluate AI solutions and measure business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate business challenges into AI-enabled solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or relevant experience.
- Experience developing chatbots, virtual agents, or AI-powered business solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar conversational AI platforms.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, or similar technologies preferred
- Knowledge of quality management systems, CAPA, audits, document control, complaint handling, or regulatory compliance processes.
- Certification or training in AI, Data Analytics, Lean Six Sigma, or Digital Transformation.
- Experience participating in governance committees or cross-functional steering teams.
