Shift - 12 hours nights | 7pm-7am | 36 hours/week | rotating weekends & holidays

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our vibrant healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients across a broad spectrum of medical conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing physical examinations.
• Assist with complex procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices and hospital protocols.
• Utilize electronic health record systems for accurate documentation of medical records, medication administration, and clinical notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care services.
• Manage acute pain and provide comfort measures for patients experiencing critical or chronic conditions.
• Engage in infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, and health coaching to promote understanding and compliance.

Requirements

• Valid RN license and BLS certification
• Proven experience working with demonstrated proficiency in medical-surgical nursing.

Pay: $66.00 per hour
