Software Developer

NextProcess is a leading independent software company in the Business Process Automation space based in Dallas, TX (Addison). We’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented Software Developer to contribute to our team of forwarding leaning professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack enterprise business applications across modern .NET, Blazor, and legacy ASP.NET Web Forms platforms.
  • Design, develop, document, and support REST APIs and SOAP/web-service integrations.
  • Develop business logic, data-access layers, shared domain libraries, background executables, and client-specific integrations.
  • Work with SQL Server databases, relational data models, stored procedures, direct SQL queries, transactions, and data-migration utilities.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable C# code using object-oriented design, LINQ, asynchronous programming, and established application patterns.
  • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with coding, security, performance, and deployment standards.
  • Analyze and resolve production issues involving web applications, APIs, business logic, database queries, integrations, IIS hosting, and third-party components.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, user-story development, task estimation, code reviews, and sprint planning.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, developers, and support personnel in an Agile, team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain and enhance applications hosted in IIS and supported through Visual Studio and Azure DevOps source control.
  • Document application behavior, technical decisions, integration requirements, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Improve existing legacy applications while contributing to modernization efforts involving .NET 10.

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years enterprise C# .NET development experience
  • Understanding of object-oriented design
  • Understanding of relational databases, primarily MSSQL
  • Experience with modern .NET, including .NET 8, .NET 9, or .NET 10
  • Experience maintaining ASP.NET Web Forms applications targeting .NET Framework 4.8
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs and SOAP web services
  • Experience with LINQ, asynchronous programming, JSON, XML, and serialization
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and browser-based application development
  • Ability to write unit tests and participate in integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing
  • Experience debugging applications in Visual Studio and troubleshooting IIS-hosted applications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, good communication and reporting skills
  • Self-Starter – ability to work independently on development projects with minimal supervision and assistance

  • Experience with AI coding assistant – (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, etc)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of application development with Visual Studio
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in an effective, organized and focused way.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented
