About this role

Company Overview

NexPoint is a multibillion-dollar alternative investment firm based in Dallas, Texas. The firm is structured around three major business areas: real estate, corporate credit and equities, and insurance solutions. NexPoint’s businesses span asset classes, industries, and strategies, providing flexibility to invest across capital structures and market environments.

Serving a diverse client base, NexPoint’s investment strategies are offered in a range of vehicles and fund structures, including mutual funds, public and private REITs, tax-advantaged vehicles, private funds, and separate accounts.

Job Description

NexPoint is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and serve as a visual storytelling partner across the firm. This role is ideal for a hands-on graphic designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys translating complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communications.

The Graphic Designer will work closely with Marketing, Communications, and National Accounts, as well as other internal teams, to create branded visual assets for print and digital channels, investor materials, client meetings, marketing campaigns, and conferences.

This role will help shape and maintain NexPoint’s visual identity across its brands and business lines while supporting high-visibility initiatives throughout the organization. Website work will primarily involve applying established brand standards and updating visual content rather than product design, UX research, or application interface design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality graphics and layouts for print and digital use, including marketing collateral, social media graphics, presentations, advertisements, product sheets, event signage, conference materials, and website graphics.
  • Create polished, executive- and client-facing presentations and investor materials for meetings, roadshows, external communications, and internal leadership forums.
  • Develop and maintain brand-consistent templates and visual systems in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Canva for use across the organization.
  • Create and update website graphics, page layouts, imagery, and branded visual content within established templates and design standards.
  • Publish and update visual web content in WordPress and Elementor, ensuring brand consistency, accuracy, and responsive presentation across devices.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing partners and third-party vendors to prepare and optimize visual assets for campaigns, websites, and other digital channels.
  • Partner closely with Communications and National Accounts to support external messaging, client deliverables, conference collateral, campaign creative, and other branded content needs.
  • Serve as a creative partner to internal stakeholders by translating business objectives, data, and messaging into effective visual concepts and finished design assets.
  • Manage multiple projects and requests across teams, balancing timelines, priorities, and creative standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in corporate graphic design, brand design, marketing design, or visual communications.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, typography, layout, print and digital collateral, presentation design, and visual storytelling. Portfolios focused primarily on UX/UI case studies, product design, wireframes, or app prototypes will not align with the core needs of this position.
  • Experience editing and enhancing existing video content, including intro/outro slides, text overlays, basic motion graphics, splicing, transitions, and use of stock video or b-roll.
  • Ability to support multiple corporate entities, affiliates, and product lines while maintaining a cohesive brand look and feel.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word and Canva Pro is also required.
  • Experience preparing production-ready files for print and digital distribution. Working knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, HTML, and CSS is preferred for content updates but is not the primary focus of the role.
  • Expert understanding of graphic design principles, including typography, color theory, hierarchy, layout, composition, image selection, and print production.
  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects, collaborate with stakeholders, communicate design rationale clearly, and adapt visual solutions for different audiences and channels.

Compensation & Benefits

NexPoint offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus based on experience and performance, along with a generous benefits package that includes industry-leading health insurance with no employee premiums or deductibles, 401(k) with employer match, paid parental leave, daily free lunch, monthly cell phone reimbursement, onsite gym membership, and more. NexPoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
