Registered Nurse MS/Tele

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry for a travel contract position in Rochester, New York. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Nurses will manage a 5:1 to 7:1 patient ratio, depending on shift and staffing.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, IV placement, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and the use of rapid response teams. Patients present with cardiac, pulmonary, GI, and other conditions, requiring strong skills in telemetry and critical care.You’ll work in a dynamic environment supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who assist with vital signs, glucose checks, and EKGs.

Special equipment includes bladder scanners, EKG machines, and lifepacks. Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required. A BLS certification is mandatory, and weekend shifts are expected every other week.This opportunity is ideal for RNs with at least one year of experience who excel in fast-paced settings and are open to floating to similar units as needed.
