Registered Nurse MS/Tele

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Rochester, New York. This travel contract offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, ensuring a steady 36 guaranteed hours per week. You will be working with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio during day and evening shifts, which may stretch to 6-7, and a 6-7:1 ratio during night shifts, with potential for higher ratios in case of staffing needs.

The role requires mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement. You will manage a diverse patient population, including cardiac, pulmonary, pain, gastrointestinal, infection, and diabetes cases. Utilize advanced equipment such as bladder scanners, EKG machines, and lifepacks.

Proficiency in Epic charting is preferred. Additionally, you will collaborate with PCTs for tasks like vital sign monitoring, glucose checks, and daily living activities. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, with no on-call responsibilities.
