Senior Accountant

With clients in the United States and Saudi Arabia, Namaa's books carry two currencies, retainers paid in advance and fees owed to outside specialists. The partners want each month closed on a fixed date, with profit shown for every engagement. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to own that close.

You'll Need

Bachelor's in accounting or finance

At least three years of general ledger accounting, including month-end close.

Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite

Excel at the level of lookups, pivot tables and reconciliations

CPA, or progress toward it (bonus).

Experience at a professional services or consulting firm (bonus)

Transactions in more than one currency (bonus)

Your Part in it

• Close the books every month, from accruals and prepaid expenses to bank and card reconciliations;
• Invoice clients against engagement agreements and follow up on late payments;
• Record payments to outside specialists and keep 1099 records ready for year end;
• Prepare the monthly profit and loss by engagement for the partners;
• Work with our outside CPA firm on the annual tax returns;
• Write down how each step of the close is done so someone else can cover it.
