We are seeking a highly capable,
hands-on IT Director
to oversee all technology operations for our growing law firm, which has roughly
15+ locations serving clients throughout all 67 Florida counties
.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an IT professional who can
manage, troubleshoot, secure, and improve our entire technology environment
. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working remotely, managing devices and systems, working with vendors, supporting employees, and getting in a vehicle to personally solve an IT issue at one of our offices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all IT operations, infrastructure, hardware, software, networks, phones, and systems across 15 locations.
- Provide both
remote and on-site IT support
to attorneys and staff.
- Travel throughout Florida to address technology needs, office setups, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Centrally manage and remotely monitor company computers, laptops, mobile devices, and other technology.
- Maintain strong cybersecurity, backups, access controls, and disaster-recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts, onboarding/offboarding, software, updates, and device security.
- Evaluate and implement new technology, including
AI and legal technology solutions
.
- Manage IT vendors, service providers, licenses, equipment, and technology budgets.
- Establish consistent IT standards and best practices across all firm locations.
- Serve as the firm's primary technology expert and trusted advisor to leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Significant IT experience with strong knowledge of
networks, Microsoft 365, excel, cloud systems, cybersecurity, endpoint/device management, and additional software's.
- Experience supporting multiple locations is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a genuine
“figure it out” mentality
.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technology in plain English.
- Professional, dependable, organized, and security-minded.
- Law firm or professional-services IT experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Florida.
