General Ledger Property Accountant

We are seeking a detailed-oriented General Ledger Property Accountant to manage the full- cycle accounting and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio. In this role, you will maintain accurate general ledger records, execute monthly close procedures, and collaborate closely with our site and corporate staff.

Responsibilities

Include:

· Journal Entries: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications.

· Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations for operating, escrow, and reserve accounts.

· Accounts Payable: Review and approve accounts payable payment transactions.

· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the assigned property portfolio.

· Audit Support: Assist with annual audit preparation and related requests.

· Assist with other projects as needed.

Qualifications

Include:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

· Excellent time management skills

· Team oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations

Work Environment:

· Full-time office setting, with occasional overtime required to meet financial deadlines.

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree in accounting. Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Two years’ work related to accounting

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time
