CPSE Services | Sensory Gym and Travel-Based Sessions
Mini Milestones Sensory Gym | Poughkeepsie, New York
Mini Milestones Sensory Gym is seeking a caring, energetic, and collaborative Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide CPSE services in our sensory gym and at community locations, including daycares, UPK programs, preschools, and other educational settings.
This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys play-based pediatric treatment and values flexibility, collaboration, and individualized care. Our therapists work closely with families, teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of each child’s team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized pediatric physical therapy services in accordance with each child’s IEP.
- Deliver sessions at Mini Milestones Sensory Gym and travel to assigned daycares, UPK programs, preschools, and other community locations.
- Address gross-motor development, balance, coordination, strength, endurance, motor planning, mobility, positioning, and participation in daily routines.
- Create engaging, functional, and developmentally appropriate treatment activities.
- Review IEP information and follow each child’s mandated frequency, duration, and goals.
- Monitor progress and modify treatment strategies based on each child’s needs.
- Complete session notes and required CPSE documentation through the CPSE Portal.
- Complete progress reports, quarterly reports, annual reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate professionally with families, teachers, school districts, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in CPSE or team meetings when requested.
- Maintain an organized schedule and communicate changes, absences, or concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a supportive environment for children of all abilities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current New York State Physical Therapist license and registration.
- Pediatric or early-childhood experience required
- Experience providing CPSE or school-based services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with IEPs and CPSE documentation is helpful.
- Comfortable learning and using the CPSE Portal for documentation.
- Strong written communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned locations.
- Friendly, professional, dependable, and collaborative.
- Able to work independently while remaining connected to the clinical and administrative team.

Schedule and Location
Services are provided at Mini Milestones Sensory Gym and at assigned locations throughout your preferred location. Local travel to daycares, UPK programs, preschools, and other community settings.
