Setting and Location for Pediatric Occupational Therapy Jobs

95%: Itinerant/Travel in Oswego County - You will be working with children in their family’s home. (Don’t worry! We include mileage/gas reimbursement!)

5%: Center work at our center located at 10 Burkle Street, Oswego, NY 13126. About the Itinerant Home OT Role

We are on the lookout for a Occupational Therapist to join our itinerant care team. In this role, you will travel to family’s homes to support children with special health care needs in their familiar home environment.

• Provide exceptional care
• + Support and develop fine motor range of motion, strength, flexibility, and movement patterns for toddlers and children, ages 18 months to 5 years, using fun, age-appropriate games and activities.

+ Support all aspects of each preschool child's treatment by collaborating with other care team members, including Special Education Teachers, SLPs, PTs, and School Psychologists.

+ Document your work including session notes, care plans and ongoing progress with high levels of accuracy and timeliness in our paperless electronic health record system.

• Travel
• + ALL Itinerant staff will receive mileage reimbursement to travel to children’s homes.

+ ALL Itinerant staff will receive a company provided iPad for easy and paperless mileage tracking, note taking, data reporting, and more.

• Planning and Data Analysis
• + Observe, evaluate, and prepare reports on progress for IEPs of the children.

+ Document your work including notes, care plans and ongoing progress with high levels of accuracy and timeliness in our paperless electronic health record system.

+ Prepares goals and instructional materials according to the goals established by the Individual Education Plan.

+ Discuss the development of the IEP with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and others.

About You

You will thrive in the role of Occupational Therapist at Milestones Children’s Center if you have:

• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution-oriented way.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Licensed or eligibility for a NYS Occupational Therapy license
