About this role
Primary Scope: Deliver direct post-operative nursing care within the NYS Nurse Practice Act scope. Manage AM admissions/blocks, conduct procedural sedation, delegate clinical tasks appropriately, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team under the direction of attending physicians. Schedule & Hours:* Shift Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM / 12-Hour Shifts).
- Weekly Schedule: Weekend Day Shift Rotation.
- On-Call Requirements: None.
- Orientation: 8 Hours Non-Billable Orientation.
Submission & Candidate Requirements:* Clinical Experience: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated PACU experience [REQUIRED].
- Clinical Skill Requirements:
+ Procedural sedation experience [REQUIRED].
+ AM admissions, nerve block assistance, and post-anesthesia recovery experience [REQUIRED].
+ EPIC EMR proficiency [REQUIRED].
- Travel Experience: Prior healthcare travel assignment experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
- State Licensure: Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License [REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION — NO PENDING LICENSES].
- Life Support Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications [REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION].
- Transportation: Candidate must possess their own reliable personal vehicle [REQUIRED FIRM].

- De-escalation Training: Mandatory pre-boarding completion of CPI or Welle Verbal De-escalation training.
- Drug Screen Standard: 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
- Time-Off Policy: Maximum of 5 days Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed; must be disclosed and verified upon submittal (no post-submittal RTO accepted). Holiday availability required as needed.
- Dress Code: Solid color personal scrubs (any color; no cartoons, designs, or hoodies).
