Role Description

The Product Manager is responsible for managing defined product categories across their full lifecycle—from insight generation and concept development through launch, optimization, and end-of-life. This role blends product development discipline with category management fundamentals to ensure products meet customer needs, align with brand strategy, and deliver profitable growth.

Key Performance Objectives in order of priority include:

1. Drive the development of new products from concept to launch (on-time, on-cost, revenue targets) 50%

2. Lead cross-functional teams to prioritize and plan the product roadmap, focusing on delivering compelling products and experiences that provide optimal value. 20%

3. Manage category growth and market share improvement 10%

4. Gather and analyze product and consumer data to identify product opportunities 10%

Note: Ten percent of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions, and unplanned activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing with 3–5 years of experience in product development or category management. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree with 5 -7 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle management and stage-gate processes.
  • Experience analyzing market data, pricing, and competitive positioning.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience in consumer goods, durable goods, or outdoor/sporting categories.
  • Familiarity with DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channel dynamics.
  • Experience with product launches and go-to-market planning.
  • Exposure to sourcing, manufacturing, or supply chain processes.
