About this role
Leaps and Bounds is hiring for an Occupational Therapist in West Seattle and South Seattle!
Things WE provide:
- Mentorship! Growing your skills is something we value and having an experienced team to support you is what makes learning exciting and helping families in the very best way!
- Schedule choices! Part time or full time- we support a work-life balance, 4 day work weeks are the normal schedule but we work with your preferences (at least 2 afternoon/evening work days are required- but NO weekend requirements)
- Student Loan Reimbursement- Your degree is valuable, we help you pay for it
- Health Insurance available starting at part-time hours
- Reasonable caseloads and dedicated documentation time! To be a great therapist, a balance of treatment and time to complete paperwork is valued and standard part of your schedule
- Holiday Closures that support balance- we close for Thanksgiving, Christmas and a week in the summer- vacations are important and we want you to have time for them!
- Additional Compensation and Bonuses given after 1 year of employment
Are you an Occupational Therapist who loves to work with a Sensory Processing mindset, who has the energy to match the rambunctious 3-year-old as well as the shy but so eager to talk about dinosaurs 7-year-old, and who knows how to balance between sensory, motor, and functional treatment approaches? We are looking for a person just like you!
Our clinic's specialty is children 3 years to 9 years of age with a focus on sensory and self regulation, feeding, social emotional development, and play skills. Recognizing our strengths and areas of growth is what makes a dynamic team successful and fun!
If you have an area of specialty or interest- we encourage our therapists to continue to develop their interests and/or strengths as well as growing in their career to new positions!
Things YOU provide:
- Outpatient clinic experience or similar setting required
- Experience working with children with developmental delays or disability required.
- A Washington State OT License (or have initiated process for one)- we are unable to accept applicants who have not initiated this process.
- Must love working with preschoolers and young children! Kids are full of energy and each day is different, which can be new and exciting and a little chaotic!
- Eagerness to learn and also be a self-starter. Must value and actively seek your own career growth. Our company offers extensive support, but independent initiation is part of growing your skills.
- Love being part of a small and supportive team- happy hours, dinners, and weekend retreats are part of our culture and we value someone who is just as fun as we are!
- Responsible and reliable- our company respects, invests and values our team-we expect the same for the company and the people you work with.
- Self Starter- must be able to hit the ground running- mentorship and collaboration is part of our culture and we meet daily/weekly- but a level of confidence to engage with children effectively and a fun personality are necessary.
If this sounds like a position for you, send us your resume and cover letter - we would love to have you join us for our next wine night, trampoline park party or Palm Springs continuing education weekend away!
