Position Summary
We are seeking a Package Designer to create engaging, brand-consistent designs for packaging, print, and digital materials. Working under the direction of the VP of Creative/Art, this role helps translate product features into clear visual communication and prepares accurate artwork for production and use across marketing channels.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple assignments, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging, marketing materials, and digital graphics based on creative briefs and established brand guidelines.
- Create clear, engaging layouts using typography, imagery, and approved copy to communicate product features and benefits.
- Create and edit packaging dielines and create digital or physical mockups to support design reviews and presentations.
- Apply licensed brand guidelines consistently across packaging, print, and digital materials.
- Revise artwork and maintain accurate files, incorporating feedback and approved changes from the VP of Creative/Art.
- Prepare production-ready artwork and check layouts, copy, image resolution, color settings, and file specifications before review and release.
- Coordinate with internal teams and, as needed, printers and vendors to clarify artwork requirements and address routine production questions.
- Organize assigned projects and files, track deadlines, and communicate progress or potential delays.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and the ecommerce team to maintain consistent imagery, messaging, and branding across channels.
- Use AI tools as a regular part of the creative workflow to generate and refine images, graphics, and written content for packaging, marketing, and ecommerce.
- Produce multiple creative concepts and variations quickly, incorporating feedback and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Review and edit AI-generated work for accuracy, visual quality, and consistency with brand guidelines before final use.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience; experience with consumer products or packaging is a plus.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and visual design skills across print and digital work; packaging examples are a plus.
- Working knowledge of print production and artwork preparation; familiarity with packaging dielines is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to complete assigned design work with direction, ask questions when needed, and follow projects through revisions and final delivery.
- Receptiveness to constructive feedback and a professional, collaborative approach to revisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance deadlines and changing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain design choices.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and willingness to learn new tools and production processes.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for image generation and content creation is required.
- Ability to write and refine prompts, evaluate results, and integrate AI-generated assets into polished designs using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to deliver high volumes of creative work quickly while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating how AI tools were used in the creative process
- Experience with 3D design or rendering software is a plus.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
