About this role

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer: Telehealth + Ecommerce (Startup, High Ownership, AI-Forward)

About the Role:

Enhance.MD is a telehealth company operating two consumer platforms: one providing GLP-1 weight management and longevity care, the other focused on women's health and biomarker-driven care. We’re a fast-paced startup building a team of passionate, self-starting, talented individuals who want to contribute to the telehealth + ecommerce space.

We're bringing this role in-house to take direct, hands-on ownership of that codebase from our outside development team. You'll be the person who actually knows how the system works: everything from product SKUs, intakes, orders, subscriptions, dashboards, and the AI features layered on top of them.

You will continue to build and ship new ecommerce and AI-powered features while maintaining what is already live for real patients.

This is an individual contributor role. You won't be managing a team, but you will be trusted with real architectural judgment: knowing when to refactor and when to take a new approach – your ideas are welcome and will be relied on for decision making.

What You’ll

Work On:

1. Building New Features

  • Work alongside Product and Marketing teams to scope and prioritize high impact features
  • Design and implement a clean, scalable patient-facing featuring
  • Work within the core systems across ecommerce + telehealth workflows
  • Deliver strong foundations (APIs, data models, services) where they are missing
  • Integrate AI-powered features into real product workflows

2. Stabilizing & Improving the Existing Platform

  • Work across a live system with real users and real complexity
  • Debug issues across services, data flows, and integrations
  • Partner with customer support and operations to resolve dev-related issues quickly
  • Identify root causes behind recurring issues and reduce requests through systemic fixes

3. Creating Engineering Structure

  • Define and implement:
  • Development workflows
  • Code quality standards
  • Definition of Done
  • Automated testing practices
  • Bring consistency across frontend, backend, and APIs
  • Improve how the team delivers, not just what it builds

What We’re Looking For:

Leadership & Ownership

Execution & Business Thinking

  • You can translate business priorities into shipped features
  • You are able to effectively communicate with non-technical business partners
  • You understand that shipping matters more than perfection Strong analytical mindset: you break down problems, identify root causes, and make data-informed decisions
  • Business-aware: you understand tradeoffs between speed, cost, and impact, and prioritize accordingly
  • You think beyond single tasks: you understand how your work affects the business, operations, and customer experience

Technical Judgment

  • Strong system design and architectural thinking
  • Comfortable working in evolving, imperfect environments
  • Able to push back on requirements when needed, clearly communicating tradeoffs and impact
  • Forward-thinking as you anticipate downstream effects and avoid decisions that create unnecessary complexity or risk
  • Comfortable calling out when a solution is too costly, too fragile, or negatively impacts other parts of the system, and proposing better alternatives

AI & Development Style

We move fast and use AI to do it. We are looking for someone who can:

  • Be comfortable using a variety of AI tools, open to adopting new ones
