About this role

Job Summary

We are hiring a creative, fresh set of eyes for our Graphic Design team in the form of a Junior Graphic Designer. In this role, you will shape design/brand identities of various restaurants and other businesses across a variety of printed and digital media. That means logos, menus, brochures, stickers, packaging and more.

You will be working directly with clients that will get to know you and your work, become highly familiar with the brand that you are designing for, and periodically communicate with this client for changes in the case of reorders or new orders.

This role is highly social, and you will be talking to many different people, both clients and coworkers. You will have a unique perspective on the entire company and will interact with people from many walks of life. This is not the role for someone who wants to be left alone to their work for 8 hours a day.

Responsibilities

  • Print Production, layout, prepress for offset and digital printing
  • "Ownership" of multiple clients and their brand identities (particularly newly-opening restaurants)
  • Design of print collateral, including menus, signage, vehicle wraps and packaging
  • Asset organization & file management
  • Talking directly to clients, sending out proofs, taking changes, and eventually receiving OK's
  • Proofing and Quality Control to ensure there are no issues before press runs

Experience

  • Entry-level (recent grads or junior/freelance designers looking for their first full-time role)
  • Bachelors' or Associate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related is great
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and MOST IMPORTANTLY your personality. Creativity. Flare.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite with high emphasis on Adobe Indesign
  • Reliable punctuality
  • Team-player
  • Customer service / social skills

Location: Northeast Philadelphia. This is an in-person role.

Pay range: $750-800/wk
