Role Description The System Engineer role at Integration LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Decatur, AL. The System Engineer will design, implement, and maintain client IT infrastructures, including servers, networks, and systems, to ensure high availability and security.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and performing routine maintenance and updates. The role involves providing technical support to clients, documenting configurations and changes, and collaborating with team members to deliver reliable managed services.
The System Engineer will also contribute to system design improvements, backup and recovery planning, and adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills for planning, implementing, and optimizing IT infrastructures.
- Proficiency in System Administration, including server management, user access, patching, and configuration.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting and Technical Support experience for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Experience working with managed services environments, remote monitoring tools, and backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and provide customer-focused support.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) or equivalent practical experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Decatur, AL, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond promptly to critical issues.
