Job description

About this role

Job Overview

As a PCB Design | Hardware Engineer, you’ll develop, test, and refine electronic hardware for industrial and manufacturing applications. You’ll turn system requirements into practical circuit designs, schematics, and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, and firmware disciplines.

Your impact

By identifying and resolving design issues through testing and root cause analysis, you help teams deliver reliable hardware and support safer, more effective operations.

Duties

  • Create and review PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and circuit designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop hardware and embedded solutions involving field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), systems on chip (SoCs), ARM platforms, firmware, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Plan project schedules; coordinate design, manufacturing, and system development verification activities.
  • Test and debug prototypes using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, soldering tools, simulation tools, and vision inspection systems.
  • Apply signal processing, control systems, automation, and engineering troubleshooting methods to improve designs.

Skills

  • Essential: Electrical engineering experience, PCB design, electronics design, electrical system design, engineering testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Essential: Programming or scripting with Python, C++, MATLAB, SystemVerilog, or Perl; experience with simulation tools such as Simulink.
  • Preferred: Industrial or manufacturing engineering practice, industrial automation, communications systems, quantum engineering, Arduino, and surface mount technology.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks; mechanical engineering concepts and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, building codes, National Electrical Code (NEC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70 compliance is useful.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
