Role Description
The Physical Therapist will provide direct, hands-on neurological rehabilitation services to pediatric and young adult patients in an on-site clinical setting in Mandeville, LA. This full-time role includes conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions focused on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve collaborating with occupational therapists and other team members, educating patients and families on home exercise programs, documenting progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed. The Physical Therapist will also participate in interdisciplinary care planning, maintain accurate clinical records, and support a safe, engaging, and inclusive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience in neurological and pediatric populations.
- Demonstrated skills in Medicine and Patient Care, including assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions.
- Ability to support continuity of care through Home Care planning, home exercise programs, and caregiver education.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Experience working with conditions such as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, developmental delay, autism, and spina bifida is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and with families.
