Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physiotherapy, with expertise in patient rehabilitation across diverse settings.

As a Physical Therapist, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and deliver exceptional patient care to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Plans physical therapy program and provides services for each patient as ordered by the physician.
  • Treats, evaluates, records and reports patient progress to the physician and care plan team.
  • Utilizes patient safety and comfort measures.
  • Responsible for direction of the Physical Therapy Department certified staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides and Restorative CNAs.
  • Responsible for the care and operation of the physical therapy equipment.
  • Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
  • Maintains and orders supplies used in the department.
  • Ensures that patient charges are completed timely and accurately.
  • Completes in a timely manner all necessary forms, documents and patient records as required.
  • Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Assists with orientation and in-service training for department staff members, participates in guidance and educational programs.
  • Meets compliancy for all state and federal requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information regarding all aspects of patient’s condition, prognosis, treatment, responses, attitudes and communication of any nature.
  • Attends inservices and meetings as directed.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and staff.
  • Maintains patient rights and upholds confidentiality.
  • Maintains regular departmental hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and on an “as needed” basis after regular hours.
  • Provides and maintains adequate malpractice insurance for scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution offering training in this specialty.
  • Two years related experience is desired.
